Hello again. I'm almost finished with our remodel project. Boy is there a lot of little things to do when building a bathroom. Anyway, I have been reminded about the message I preached on Sunday about passion. If we are going to be a witness to our community,we have to be people of passion. One of my points on Sunday was fatigue will rob you of passion. I have realized I am close to that point, so I need to step back and rest. But I can't rest too much right now because it is crunch time. That means the end of the project is near. My thought for you today is don't unplug from a project so close to completion. I've seen it happen too often. People get to the end, and don't complete. Here are some ideas to help you make it though. 1. Pace yourself throughout the entire project. 2. Get your rest when you can. 3. Keep your eyes on the finish line. 4. Keep yourself built up with the word and prayer.
Let's finish each assignment and project. Completion always brings satisfaction.
Until next time. Pastor
Thanks for this great reminder Pastor Eddie to maintain a balance between pushing to complete a goal and taking time to rest. I know that time management skills are so very important to all of us. God is a master planner as well. Those of us who are very goal driven, need to remember to schedule the all too important time to simply rest. We accomplish so much more when we are properly rested and energized. There can sometimes be a tendancy to stay at rest too much, perhaps just waiting on the Lord, but really we are simply not working. You have said many times that the Holy Spirit is our helper, but we must DO something to give Him something to help us with. So thank you for your great balanced teaching and deposits into our lives and our journey to success.
Your son in the Lord,
