As a leader you can be "under the influence of many good things, but, you can never be under the influence of Negativity and be successful. Have you ever noticed how negativity seems to take you over, and drain every bit of energy from you? Here are some thoughts on how to deal with negative situations. First, check your attitude about the situation or person. Have you ever got yourself all worked up about something or someone only to find out that its all in your head? Sometimes just changing your attitude changes the whole picture. Next, If there is a negative situation or person you are dealing with, ask yourself, "What can I do to fix the situation? Sometimes, you can talk things out, or offer some training, or define your expectations more clearly. Lastly, if the situation can't be repaired, or the person refuses to change, then there has to be a break. A good leader knows not to allow negativity to build up in their lives. If nothing else has worked, as they say,"If the tooth can't be fixed , then Pull It!"
